STEP is a three-week program that offers a comprehensive experience in language and cultural exchanges in an intellectually stimulating environment. We are entering the seventh year of the program. Organized by Stanford University students with a special interest in Thailand and Thai cultures, this is the only program that allows for the complete immersion of exchange students into the Stanford experience. You will visit regular Stanford University classes of your choice, and have access to University facilities including the student center, sports complex, as well as all the libraries on campus.

Though having fun and learning English by getting yourself immerses in the Stanford life are the center pieces of STEP, the program also requires you to select a topic of your interest and develop a small project or presentation on it during your three-week stay here. Stanford University has one of the largest library systems in the world. No matter what your interest is in, we guarantee that you will find more than enough information on it. Your final work will be a presentation in English. The format of the presentation is broadly defined. We encourage imagination and originality of your idea. Creativity is a strong quality of all Stanford students! The organizers will make sure you become sufficiently acquainted with our libraries, along with other resources at Stanford.. Furthermore, we will be available to assist you with your problems on English and cultural adjustment.
