Prince Andrew, fourth in line to the British throne, faces a probe into his travel expenses
by the governments spending watchdog, Londons Times newspaper said yesterday.
Andrew clocked up ฃ 325,000 (Bt24 million) in flight last year, Buckingham Palace
accounts show. This reportedly included almost ฃ 11,000 for two Royal Air Force flights
to play golf at Saint Andrews in east Scotland, where he is captain, Agence France-Presse.

If your cholesterol levels keep going up no matter what you eat, dont get discouraged- it could
be the season, not your diet, thats at fault. A new study published in the Archives of internal
Medicine found that cholesterol levels naturally fluctuate throughout the year. Researchers
at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester tracked 517 healthy people
for a year and found that their cholesterol levels tended to rise in cooler months and fall in

The US Federal Reserve boosted the key short-term interest rate by one-quarter of a percentage
point on Wednesday , its first rate increase in four years, in an attempt to keep the US economy
and inflation on an even keel.
Fed chairman Alan Greenspan and his Federal Open Market Committee colleagues the
group that sets interest-rate policy in the United States-increased the federal funds rate to 1.25
percent. The funds rate, the Feds primary tool for influencing economic activity, had been at

Israels High Court ruled yesterday that the country d next general election should he held
in 2006, a year earlier than planned.
The decision ended a complicated legal battle that erupted over the length of the current
